MY ENGLAND VACATION: POSTCARDS FROM LONDON

Eiyo Fadneiras,

How are you guys doing? I'm doing good and I hope you guys are doing good too. I just celebrated my birthday last Friday (31 March). Syukur alhamdulillah, I had a good celebration with my family. The celebration was awesome even though it was a small one. I'm also grateful for all the things that I've been blessed with all this while ^_^

Today, I'm back to share some pictures from my vacation in London with you guys. Now let's begin this post with a summary of London...

ABOUT LONDON

London is the capital of England. London is also the country's largest city. The city is situated in southeastern England, lying astride the River Thames some 50 miles upstream from its estuary on the North Sea.

London is one of the oldest cities in the world. According to historians, the city was founded by the Romans in AD 47, which makes London 1976 years old. London is also one of the most visited cities in the world. The city is popular for its history and heritage. London is definitely a lovely city to visit. The city offers tourists interesting touristy spots, heritage and historical sides, and culture.

London is my no.1 favorite destination in the world. Traveling to London always makes me happy. This vacation was probably my 7/8 times visit to London. To me, London is like my second home. I just love London! I really hope I will be able to migrate to London in the future. Insya-Allah. Aamiin.

Ok, this is all about London. Now let's check out my pictures of spectacular London...

Voila!!! Here's a picture of my parents at Regents Park. Regents Park is one of the well-known parks in London. This park is a good place to enjoy brisk walks and recreational activities. The hotel we stayed at is situated next to Regents Park.

Woohoo!!! Check out the beautiful black duck, guys. This picture was also taken at Regents Park. Besides brisk walking and recreational activities, Regents Park is also a good place for nature seeing. At Regents Park, you can see a lot of beautiful species of ducks and birds. All of them are lovely to look at ^_^

Voila!!! Here's a picture of me at Hamleys. Hamleys is the biggest toy store in England. It is also one of the most popular and oldest toy stores in the world. Hamleys actually begins in Cornwall, England. The toy store was founded by William Hamley in 1760. Wow... Hamleys is older than I thought it was. In 1837, Hamleys became one of the famous landmarks in London.

Hamleys is an important place for me. It's a place I must visit and even shop at every time I travel to London. Visiting Hamleys makes me happy and merry. This toy store is like therapy for me.  Plus, I can find different kinds of toys at Hamleys ~ traditional toys, collector item toys, and even high-tech toys. Hamleys is forever amazing! I just love Hamleys!

Picture no.4 was taken right in front of Liberty. Liberty is a department store built in a Tudor building. Liberty is also one of the most popular and oldest department stores in London, just like Harrods and Fortnum & Mason (these department stores existed since the victorian-era). Liberty was founded by Arthur Lasenby Liberty in 1875. Liberty is now more than just a department store. This Tudor building department store is now listed as one of London's heritage icons. It's a place all tourists must visit in London.

This picture was taken right in front of Poppies Fish & Chips. Poppies Fish & Chips is a restaurant situated on Camden Street. The restaurant serves its customers delicious fish & chips and seafood meals. My family and I love dining at Poppies. We believe Poppies is the best restaurant to eat fish & chips in London. Besides delicious meals, Poppies also provides its customers with a cozy ambiance and positive vibes.

Picture no.6 was taken in Poppies Fish & Chips. It's a selfie of me and Indy. Indy is a good friend of mine who lives and works in London. We used to be flatmates when we were studying in Manchester. Indy is an Asian-Portuguese. She's friendly, funny, and a cool person to be with. We had a little reunion together at Poppies. It was awesome being able to meet an old pal. Thank you for your time, Indy. I hope we will meet again either in London, Portugal, or Malaysia.

Voila!!! Here's a picture of my Dad at Emirates Stadium. Emirates Stadium is situated in North London and it's the home of Arsenal Football Club. My Dad is a big fan of Arsenal. So Emirates Stadium is my Dad's no.1  favorite place in London. Emirates Stadium is one of the places we always visit every time we travel to London. Well, it's a lovely stadium. I visited a lot of football stadiums before. And I believe Emirates is the most beautiful.  If you're a fan of Arsenal, this stadium is definitely a must-visit for you.

#8

Taa-daa!!!! Here's a picture of me inside The Armoury. The Armoury is Arsenal FC's gift store. This gift store is situated at Emirates Stadium. Fans of Arsenal can shop for cool Arsenal souvenirs at The Armoury. The Armoury also provides Arsenal fans with a good shopping experience. The staff there are friendly, helpful, and cheerful.

After we visited Emirates, we went to the Battersea Power Station. Battersea is a new place for us. We haven't visited this place before. The Battersea Power Station is situated in South West London. It is the city's new attraction and iconic place. Battersea is a good place to visit. Besides the power station, tourists can also check out spectacular modern buildings, shop at the mall, and dine at cool restaurants there.

#10

Voila!!! Who says you can't eat Malaysian food in London? Hehehe ^_^ At The Battersea Power Station, we dined at Roti King. Roti King is a famous Malaysian restaurant located at Battersea. The restaurant serves its customers delicious Malaysian food. It's a good place to dine in London. Insya-Allah, my family and I will dine here again if we travel to London again in the future.

Picture no.11 was taken in front of Waterstones. Waterstones is a famous bookstore in England, and it's also the biggest in the country. Waterstones is a must-visit for all book lovers like me. Shopping at Waterstones was almost paradise for me. There are so many books to shop for there. I bought Ana Huang novels at Waterstones. Hehehe ^_^

Picture no.12 is an image of me right in front of Peggy Porschen. Peggy Porschen is a cafe situated at Kings Road, Chelsea. This cafe is very beautiful. It is decorated in floral and pink-colored decors. It's a good cafe to visit, dine at, and have a girls' day out with your galpals. Visiting and dining at Peggy Porschen is a dream come true for me. Syukur alhamdulillah. I have been wanting to dine at this lovely cafe since 2021. Peggy Porschen is my main inspiration for Pretty Pink Garden, a fictional place I created for my short story in Komplot Cerpen Penulis Paluan Seni Vol.1.

Taa-daa!!! Here's a picture of me inside Peggy Porschen. Check out this cafe's ambiance and interior. Isn't it lovely? This cafe also serves its customers' delicious meals, desserts, and beverages. Seriously, I miss the pink lemonade I drank at Peggy Porschen. It was the most delicious drink I ever tasted.

Last but not least, here's a picture of me right in front of Stamford Bridge. Stamford Bridge is the home of the Chelsea Football Club. I'm not a fan of Chelsea and neither are my parents. But since Peggy Porschen is nearby this stadium, we believe it's a good place to visit. Stamford Bridge is also lovely. But not as lovely as Emirates. Hehehe :P However, this stadium also has its own uniqueness.
