REMY HII AS SIX BOOK HEARTTHROBS
Eiyo Fadneiras ^_^
Welcome back to my blog. How are you guys doing? I'm back from my one-week break. Did anyone miss me? Hehehe >_<
Yep, I took a one-week break from blogging and went on a short staycation in Kuala Lumpur. I attended the Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair (KLIBF) 2025 at PWTC for some book hauls and to support a friend. Congratulations on another awesome performance, Yuda Areni (author of Orakel Dewata). Keep up the good work ^_^ To my Malaysian fellow bookworms, how's your KLIBF 2025 book haul? Did you buy a lot of books? Hehehe ^_^
For today's entry, I'm going to share another bookish + pop-culture related post with you guys. Yay! And I promise this post will be a fun one. This post is requested by my BFF, Maddy. Three months ago, I posted a list of book beauties that I imagined as IU while reading the book. So Maddy wants me to share a list of book heartthrobs that I imagined as Remy Hii. Fan-casting your favorite celebrities as the characters in the books you read is one of the best ways to boost your reading mood. And Remy Hii is one of the celebrities I love fan-casting as my favorite book characters. So in this post, I will share a list of book characters that I imagined as Remy while reading the book.
For those who aren't familiar with Remy Hii, he is a Malaysian-Australian actor known for his roles as Brad Davis in Spider-Man: Far From Home, Alistair Cheng in Crazy Rich Asians, Peter Maxwell in Princess Switch 3, and Prince Jingim from Netflix's Marco Polo. If you want to know more about Remy, you can read this post >> REMY HII - MORE THAN JUST A HANDSOME FACE. I used to write a lot about this actor on my blog a long time ago >_<
Okay... now let's begin with the list...
#1 DHEO HAN (DHEO'S)
Dheo Han is the male lead created by Anjell for her best-selling novels, Dheo's. Dheo is a morally grey hero with Hades' vibes. He is a very handsome and charismatic businessman with a mysterious and enigmatic aura. The author describes this character as cold yet beautiful. Dheo likes to show his dark side (cold face) to his enemies and those who don't know him that well. Only with Nurissa Rose can he relax and be himself. Dheo is a Eurasian. His father is a Chinese-Malaysian, while his mother is an Italian. I believe Remy Hii is perfect to play Dheo Han. Like Dheo, Remy is also charismatic and talented in art and music. Plus, Remy can write and do work with his left and right hands. And as a fan of Remy Hii, it's always my dream to see him playing a character with a dark, mysterious, and enigmatic aura. If any filmmakers want to make Dheo's a film or TV series, please cast Remy for this role. I'm sure he will carry the character well and make people love Dheo Han more.
#2 ZAIN ARASH (AKAD DUA HATI)
Zain Arash is the male lead in Akad Dua Hati, a contemporary romance novel written by Zan Zarida. Arash was portrayed as a happy-go-lucky and fun-loving character by the author. He is also a very confident man who knows what he wants and is brave enough to go for his goals. When I first read ADH, I immediately imagined Remy Hii as Zain Arash. Until now, I did not know why. Hehehe >_< But yeah... I believe Remy has the same vibes as the character. So he is perfect for the role. Hehehe ^_^
#3 SIR ARMAND (PENGANTIN SEORANG VAMPIRE)
Sir Armand is the male lead crafted by Sheisbell for Pengantin Seorang Vampire. He is a 900-year-old vampire in the form of a 30-year-old man. He is handsome, tall, masculine, and very manly. He has dark hair and fair skin. His eyes can change color – from blue to green, from green to blue. The author portrays Sir Armand as a very charismatic, enigmatic, and mysterious man. He has a strong aura. Like Sir Armand, Remy is also charismatic and manly. I believe Remy has the same charisma and aura as Sir Armand. Plus, Remy is a very versatile actor. He can channel all kinds of roles. I’m sure he will carry Sir Armand’s character well and make it a phenomenon.
#4 TENGKU HAQEEM (THE RUNAWAY PRINCESS)
Tengku Haqeem is the second hero in Dynna Zain's romantasy hit novel, The Runaway Princess. I believe Tengku Haqeem is the most lovable character in the story. At the beginning of the story, Haqeem thought that he was Sultan Habil's first son. But in the middle of the story, Haqeem found out his true identity and background. Haqeem was actually from the kingdom of Lothenial. His parents were aristocrats of Lothenial. Haqeem was taken away from his parents when he was only a baby. Sultan Habil kidnapped Haqeem just to seek revenge on his parents. After Haqeem found out his true identity and background, the courageous prince decided to look for his parents. Haqeem also has feelings for Thalia. After Ethan returned to his world, Haqeem married Thalia, and together they rule Akalil as Sultan Haqeem and Sultanah Thalia. I believe Remy Hii is the best for this role. Remy has the same charisma and courage as Tengku Haqeem. And I believe all Marco Polo fans want to see Remy as a prince on a white horse again. Hehehe >_<
#5 JOSH CHEN (TWISTED HATE)
Josh Chen is one of the characters Ana Huang created for her Twisted series. He is the male lead in Twisted Hate (the third book). Josh is portrayed as a medical doctor in Twisted Hate. He is a charming and attractive character. He has the Asian-hunk look. He is tall and masculine. He has an Asian-bronze skin tone, dark hair, and dark almond-shaped eyes. When I was reading Twisted Hate, I imagined Remy as Josh. Like Josh, Remy also has the Asian-hunk and suave-boy-next-door look. So Remy is the perfect actor to play Josh Chen ^_^
#6 EMIL MUHAYAT (FAIL MERAH)
And last but not least, let me introduce you to Emil Muhayat! He is the male lead I crafted for my first novel, Fail Merah. I created Emil as a very strong character. He is bold, brave, confident, charismatic, charming, intelligent, quick-witted, and intellectual. He is very decisive when it comes to decision-making, and he hates being wishy-washy. Emil is also a very honest person. He is not the kinda person who likes to hide his feelings. He just says whatever he wants to say. Sometimes his words may turn out harsh to other people. But Emil just can't be bothered, especially when he is right. Emil is not the kinda person who likes to please others. Push-over is so not his middle name. Even though Emil is a strong character, he still has a gentle side. Every time Emil is with Dahlia, he always appears sweet, loving, romantic, and tender. He loves her dearly and sees her as the most important person in his life. He is also concerned about Dahlia's needs. Besides being sweet, loving, romantic, and tender, Emil can also be sexy and seductive. Wow!!!
When I was writing Fail Merah back in 2000, I had a massive crush on Remy Hii. So I modelled my character after him. And if Fail Merah becomes a film/TV series in the future, I want Remy to be cast as Emil. Hehehe >_< If you want to know more about Emil Muhayat, grab Fail Merah and read his story >> FAIL MERAH @FADNEIRA_ON94U.
Okay, so these are the book characters I imagined as Remy Hii. Thank you for reading this post. Insya-Allah, I'll see you in my next post. The Book Heartthrob Profile episode will be back next week. So stay tuned ^_^

Hahaha... teringat masa PBAKL 2023. Nak promote Fail Merah dekat potential customers/readers mesti tersebut Remy instead of Emil. I even tersebut it masa time resensi on stage >_<

ReplyDeleteWell, I've no idea who he is but you've definitely made a good case for him playing those roles!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
It's interesting to see how this actor could embody the different characters you've selected. I agree that reading a book is much more motivating when you can imagine an actor you like in one of the roles. Good post!
