Eiyo dearies,

I am back with a new post. How are you guys doing this Ramadhan? How's your stay at home vacation going? What are you guys been up to? I hope you guys are doing good. Like I said in some of my previous posts, this stay at home vacation is a moment for me to enjoy binge reading. Since this stay at home vacation,  I have read more than five novels. I just finished reading Lelaki Kiriman Tuhan (LKT) by Umie Nadzimah last weekend. Now I would like to share my sweet and heartwarming review for the novel with you guys in this post. Let's get started...............

About The Author - Umie Nadzimah

Me with the author Umie Nadzimah (left) during Umie Nadzimah's Novel-Writing Workshop last February

Umie Nadzimah is one of Malaysia's top novelist. Umie Nadzimah graduated from the National University of Malaysia (UKM). Before Umie Nadzimah became an author, she works as a nutritionist. She began writing after she retired from her professional job. Umie Nadzimah is very passionate about creative writing. Besides writing novels, she also writes drama/movie scripts. Some of her novels are Cinta Paling Agung, Jujur Nikahi Aku, Tidak Pernah Sesal, Aku Pilih Bahagia, Si Baju Kurung Kasut Kanvas, and many more. Most of her novels are a bestseller and have been adapted into movies/dramas.

Umie Nadzimah is also now one of my creative writing mentors besides Puan Sri Diah. Last February, I participated in her novel-writing workshop. She is a good mentor. She is also a very friendly, lively, creative, and knowledgable person. About Lelaki Kiriman Tuhan

LKT is Umie Nadzimah's 10th novel. LKT is a romance genre novel. The story was about a young resort owner named Naira Nain. Naira was an unlucky girl although she's from a well-off family. Her big brother, Mirza was a very irresponsible person. Mirza was a failure in life and had a drug addiction problem. Mirza's addiction to drugs put him in a lot of debt. However, the irresponsible brother ran away and let his younger sister, Naira handled his debt.

Because of Mirza's irresponsible attitude, Naira was always in trouble. She was always being chased by debt collectors. Naira's situation made her unhappy and cold-hearted. She hardly smiles and most of her workers are scared of her.

One day, an unexpected guest named Iqbal Raid (Raid) came to Naira's resort. Raid was a cool and flamboyant guy. He was also a bad boy with a kind heart. Raid's presence at the resort changed Naira.

Raid also helped Naira to pay Mirza's debt. Naira and Raid became husband and wife in the middle of the novel. After they were married, stories, truths, and dark past about Raid came out. Naira had a hard time to accept Raid for his past.

Towards the end of the novel, Raid went missing for 10 months. Naira was already pregnant with Raid's first child. After Naira gave birth, Raid came back to her life. Naira admitted her mistakes for mistreating Raid. They live happily ever after...............

5 Things I Like In Lelaki Kiriman Tuhan

#1 The Heartwarming Storyline

LKT has a very heartwarming storyline. Reading this novel makes you feel warm and happy. I like Umie Nadzimah's writing style. Her writing style is very catchy and easy to understand. Her writing makes you want to read the novel fast.

#2 Iqbal Raid's Character

I like the male protagonist - Iqbal Raid a lot. Raid is now one of my favorite male protagonists in a Bahasa Malaysia romance novel. Raid is just an ordinary guy. He is not perfect. In fact, he is so not perfect at all. But Raid has a heart of gold. He loves helping others especially those who are in need. Raid is also a humble guy. He knows he is not perfect. He always admits his weaknesses to Naira.

Raid is also very patient and forgiving. Naira is actually an egotistic woman. She always wants things to be perfect for her. She was also mean to Raid after she finds out about his past. But Raid never blames Naira. He blamed himself for not being a good husband. During his MIA, Raid works hard to change himself and learn a lot of things about Islam to make himself a better man. And these are all the qualities I like about Raid.

#3 Pangkor Island For The WIP Setting

In LKT, Naira's resort is situated at Pangkor Island. Pangkor Island is a beautiful place. I just visited there last year. Reading this novel brings me lovely memories of Pangkor Island. Insya'Allah I will visit there again in the future.

#4 The Use Of Bunga Melur

Most Bahasa Malaysia romance authors used flowers as a prob or symbol of romance in their novels. In LKT, Umie Nadzimah used bunga melur/ jasmine flower as Naira and Raid's romance symbol. Bunga melur is a very unique flower. It is beautiful, white in color, and has a lovely scent. Not many authors have used this flower in their novels.

In LKT, Raid compares Naira to his favorite flower -bunga melur because she has fair skin. Naira's skin is as fair as the petals of bunga melur. Plus, Raid's mother's name is Melur. That's why Raid loves bunga melur a lot.

#5 The Moral of The Story

This story is about accepting people for who they are, forgiving people for their mistakes, and not to judge them for their past. Everybody is not perfect. People made mistakes in their past. But there is always a chance for them to change. I like the moral message. Not many authors these days implement this message in their novels

Overall, I like this novel. I rate LKT 8/10. I would highly recommend this novel to those who love reading romance stories.

Before I end this post, let me ask you four questions................

1) Has anyone read Lelaki Kiriman Tuhan?
2) If yes, what is your opinion about the novel?
3) Is there anyone of you a fan of Umie Nadzimah novels?
4) If yes, which one of her novels is your favorite?

Ok, that's all. Thank you for reading. Stay at home and pray.

XoXo,

Fadima Mooneira ^_^

novel? tidak. saya tak baca :)
but yes. moral of the story, the way kita accept org. semua org ada kisah silam, sama ada ok or not je kan. most of them, move on and lupakan kisah silam. so, kita mesti terima la. takkan nak biarkan mereka mereput dgn kisah silam yg negatif.

  19. It's got to be nice to have a mentor, I don't think I've ever had one.

As for my stay at home vacation, it's little different to how I use to spend my life. Due to my anxiety disorders, I prefer to always be at home anyway.
