Seven Things That I Enjoyed During My Stay At Home Vacation

Eiyo dearies,

How are you guys doing? Malaysia's PM, Muhyiddin Yassin just announced today that our MCO will continue after this Tuesday, 12.05.2020.

Btw, there are some of you who are already back to work right? I hope you guys are ok and always keep yourself safe. Pls, practice social distancing. Although you guys are back to work, you need to remember that the world is not the same.

So how do you guys feel about your stay at home vacation? Is it good? Or torturing? How do you guys rock your stay at home vacation? And what are the things that you enjoyed during your stay at home vacation? I enjoyed doing seven things during my stay at home vacation. So in this post, I'm gonna share with you the seven things that I enjoyed during my stay at home vacation. Let's start now...

#1 I DON'T HAVE TO THINK ABOUT FASHION AND MAKEUP

Me with no makeup at all ^_^

I am a sometime-fashion-lover and not-so-a-makeup-person. But every time I go out, I do need to make myself look good and presentable. During my stay at home vacation, I don't need to think of all these things. I can put fashion and makeup aside. Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In fact, I feel good and more confident about not wearing fashionable clothes and makeup.

#2 EAT HOME-COOKED FOOD

Black paper fried rice by my mother

During my stay at home vacation, I realized that eating home-cooked food is way much healthier than eating outside. Eating home-cooked food helps me put my weight down. Eating home-cooked food also doesn't make me gain weight easily.

#3 BINGE READING

Me reading Sahabat. Sahabat is a book of short stories. One of the writers is me ^_^ I wrote a story titled KDK-Kawan Dari Kecil in Sahabat

Reading is always my hobby. I always enjoy reading more than watching movies or dramas. During this stay at home vacation, I have read six novels, two short stories, and three children's storybooks. To those of you who are also an avid reader, tell how many books have you read? Do you have any cool books to recommend me? I am now looking for a Bahasa Malaysia romance novel to read.

#4 DO MY ART

My illustration of Girls Generation's Im Yoona. You can check my artworks at my artist IG @fmooneira_art

During this stay at home vacation, I enjoy drawing and doing my art. I improved my art and learned some new techniques to make art look more interesting. I would also like to say thank you to those of you who supported my artworks. Thank you for your interest in my work. Lately, I received a lot of offers on my artworks. Some of you want me to draw an illustration of you. That's awesome guys. I totally appreciate that. But at this moment, I am not taking any offers. It's because I am now focusing on writing my WIP. I want to finish writing my WIP first. Insya'Allah, I will get back to you after I finished my solo writing project. Pls, have no worries, I already listed your name in my list. But I have to be honest, that this time I will take commissions on my work.

#5 FOCUS ON BLOGGING

My blog ^_^

This stay at home vacation is an opportunity for me to focus on blogging. Lately, I've been joining and taking some online blogging classes. I wanna improve my blogging and writing skills. I also want to improve my engagement with my readers. But during this Ramadhan, I scheduled my blog to one post a week (I usually post two posts a week). This is because I also want to focus on my prayer during this beautiful holy month. Insya'Allah, after Eid Mubarak I will continue posting two posts a week.

#6 FOCUS ON WRITING MY WIP

The two protagonists for the first novel I wrote. The manuscript is in the checking process. Pls, pray for me guys ^_^

This stay at home vacation is also an opportunity for me to focus on writing my WIP. Being a novelist is my dream and I am working hard now to make it a reality. Last March, I already submitted my first manuscript to a local publishing company. Until now they are still checking on my manuscript. According to the chief editor, it will take 3-6 months to approve my manuscript. For those of you who are reading this post right now, pls pray that the publishing company likes my manuscript and interested to publish my first novel. This will be a dream come true for me. So pls guys.

And these two are the protagonists for the novel I am currently writing. Pls feel free to follow my writer IG @mughunghwa for more updates on my writing project

Right now, I am writing my second novel. I am putting my infinity percent focus and concentration on writing it. I am not finished yet writing my latest WIP, but I am happy with the progress I made during this stay at home vacation. Pls, pray that I will be able to finish this manuscript, and Allah S.W.T will ease things for me. This is something I really want.

#7 MY PARENTS

My parents ^_^ They just celebrated their 36 anniversary last April

This stay at home vacation is also a moment for us to spend time with our love ones. During this stay at home vacation, I enjoyed spending time with my parents. I celebrated my birthday (last March) with my parents. I also celebrated my parents' anniversary, my father's birthday, and mother's day with my parents during this stay at home vacation.

Okay............so these are the seven things that I enjoyed during my stay at home vacation. I know this stay at home vacation is torturing to some of you are social butterflies. However, have no worries that there's always a silver lining in all these. For those of you who are introverts like me, I'm sure you guys see this stay at home vacation or MCO as a paradise. Am I right? Hehehe ^_^ Introverts usually have things to do at home. I have a lot of activities to do at home and I am not complaining about this stay at home vacation. I do see it as my paradise. But I also have to be honest that I miss having a girls day out with my gals, dining at fancy cafes and restaurants, and watching movies at the cinema.

That's all I'm gonna share with you guys in this post. Pls, be safe, and take good care of yourself. Thank you for reading this post.

Khungang Haseyo,

Fadima Mooneira ^_^

    1. Like I said before, people who are extrovert and a social butterfly find this MCO depressing. It's because most of their activities are not home activities and it involves other people. We introverts find this MCO as an opportunity for us to focus doing the things that we like and work on something that we want to achieve. Plus, most of our activities are home activities and it doesn't involve other people.

  22. Great post!! I have to admit I'm enjoying this unprecedented stay-at-home "vacation," time myself. You and I seem to be on the same wavelength as far as what we're doing: cooking, blogging, working on art projects, working on novels. And I'm DEFINITELY not wearing any makeup or fancy clothes (my skin loves me right now!). Continue enjoying your stay-at-home time! And fingers crossed that your novel gets published!

  30. What a great post. First, what is a MCO? I'm in Canada, so I am not familiar with that.
We have started to open a lot of places here now. They call it stage one, but 90% of businesses are open now.
I work from home, as i run a business out of my house, and am deemed essential here in Canada, so it hasn't been to bad for me. I love having my son home, and like you, we love having the home cooked meals all the time. I do miss seeing the rest of my family though. glad you are doing good.
