Novel Review: Taming Natasha by Nora Roberts

Eiyo my dear pals and readers,

Welcome back to Fadima Mooneira Blogspot. I just finished reading a romance novel titled Taming Natasha (TN). The novel was written by Nora Roberts. So today, I would like to share with you guys my review of the novel. So let's begin...

ABOUT NORA ROBERTS

The author- Nora Roberts (Image: celebritynetworth.com)

Nora Roberts is an American author. She was born on the 10th of October 1950 in Silver Spring, Maryland, America. Hey, it was Roberts's 70 birthday yesterday. Happy Birthday, Nora Roberts. Hehehe ^_^

Roberts began writing in 1979. She sent her first manuscript - Irish Thoroughbred to Harlequin (an American publisher). Unfortunately, Harlequin rejected Roberts's manuscript. In 1980, a new publisher named Silhouette Books decided to published Roberts's first novel - Irish Thoroughbred. In 1981, the novel Irish Thoroughbred was published by Silhouette Books. And that's how Roberts began her career in the creative writing industry.

Roberts has now published more than 225 romance novels. She is one of the New York Times Bestselling Author. She has won't several awards as an author. Some of her novels have already been adapted into a movie.

ABOUT TAMING NATASHA

Taming Natasha (TN) is one of Nora Roberts's early novels. This novel was first published in 1990. Wow......I was only four years old at that time.

The female protagonist in TN is Natasha Stanislaski a Russian immigrant who grew up in New York. She later moved to West Virginia and opened a toy store business. Natasha was beautiful, smart, kind, and loved kids. Natasha was a dancer before she moved to West Virginia. She was once in love with a handsome male dancer named Anthony. She also got pregnant with his child. Anthony refused to take responsibility and he dumped Natasha. Natasha gave birth to her child- Lily. Natasha loved Lily dearly. She's her new life and means everything to her. But sadly, Lily died of sudden shocking death. Natasha was very heart-broken. That's why she decided to move to West Virginis, started a new life, and promised herself not to fall in love again.

The male protagonist is Dr. Spence Kimball (Spence). Spence was also from New York. Spence moved to West Virginia with his cute daughter - Freddie after his wife died. Spence was a music professor. He was handsome and charming. He has blonde hair and blue eyes. Spence was also suave, talented, and romantic. As a widower and single father, Spence was looking for love.

Spence met Natasha at her toy store. At that time, he was buying Freddie a Raggedy Ann doll. Natasha and Spence later became friends. After that, the two of them fell in love. Spence was ready to take Natasha as his new wife and the mother of his child. But Natasha was still afraid to love. Will love change Natasha's thinking?

MY REVIEW ON TAMING NATASHA

Voila!!!!!!!!! My illustration of Natasha Stanislaski and Dr. Spence Kimball. Aren't they a power couple? (Image: my Artist IG @fmooneira_art)

I bought this novel from my BFF, Maddie. Maddie now sells second-hand novels at her stall - SM BOOK AND COLLECTIBLES. Maddie's stall is situated at Bazar Karat Bandar Baru Bangi. Bazar Karat is near Bangi Gateway. If any of you bookworms are looking for second-hand novels, pls feel free to visit SM BOOKS AND COLLECTIBLES. You can get classic romance novels at a good price.

When I first saw the title and cover of the novel, I thought TN was an erotic scandalous romance novel. But I was wrong. TN is a heartwarming romance novel. Besides romance, the story is also about family, life, and giving others and yourself a second chance. The moral of the story, you must not let your past ruin your present and future. The past, present, and future are not the same. You must be able to give yourself a second chance. I'm glad at the end of the novel, Natasha decided to give herself a second chance. She and Spence got married, become a family, and gave Freddie a little brother named Brandon. Auwww.....I love sweet and happy endings ^_^

Overall, I rate this novel 9/10. I highly recommend Taming Natasha to bookworms who love reading romance novels. But I also have to honest that this novel has 3 love-making scenes. So this novel is not suitable for those who are under 18.

Ok, so that's all I want to share with you guys in today's post. Since Nora Roberts is a famous author, I believe some of you might be familiar with her novels. Am I right? So I would like to ask my readers four questions...

  1. Are you a fan of Nora Roberts?
  2. If yes, what is your favorite Nora Roberts's novel?
  3. Have you read Taming Natasha?
  4. If yes, what are your opinions about this novel?

Ok, thank you for reading. Have a good day.

XoXo,

Fadima Mooneira ^_^
