My Step-By-Step Makeup Routine

Eiyo Fadneiras,

How are you guys doing? I hope you guys are doing fine. Wow.......I can't believe that today is the last day of April. It's going to be May starting tomorrow. I hope you guys had an awesome April and may May be another good month for all of us.

Today, I would like to share with you guys my step-by-step makeup routine. I know most of my female readers are excited to read this post. Am I right? Hehehe.....

But before I start, let me be honest with you guys that my makeup routine is a very simple one. For those who love light makeup, I'm sure you guys are going to love this routine. But for those who are into heavy makeup, you guys are going to find this a bit or maybe very disappointing. Well, guys, I don't do heavy makeup. And makeup is not really my cup of tea. I am the kind of girl who loves to embrace my natural look. To me, makeup is just a shiny addition to my natural look.

Ok, now let's not waste time and get started............

STEP 1: SUNBLOCK

After I applied all skincare products (cleanser, toner, essence, emulsion, tone-up cream) to my face, I will start applying makeup. First of all, I will apply sunblock all over my face and neck. Sunblock is an essential thing in my makeup routine. I use sunblock as a protection to my skin and a replacement for primer. I don't use primer in my makeup routine. My favorite sunblock is the Face Shop Natural Sun Eco Power Long-Lasting Sun Cream. This sunblock has SPF50+ (I always choose sunblock that has SPF50+), is lightweight, creamy, moisture, and tinted.

STEP 2: CONCEALER

After sunblock, I will apply concealer under my eyes (as a writer I do have panda-eyes ^_^), and nose. At the moment, my favorite concealer is the Laneige Real Cover Cushion Concealer. It is smooth, lightweight, and easy to use. That's why I love it.

STEP 3: BB CREAM

After concealer, I will apply BB cream all over my face and neck. Hmm........I'm sure you guys are wondering. Why BB cream? Why not foundation? Guys, I'm not a fan of foundations. Most foundations I've tried before are cakey, heavy, and oily. It makes my skin get breakouts. Plus, I don't like my face to feel cakey and heavy. So foundations are a big no-no-no for me. After all, I am already confident by just wearing BB cream on my face. BB creams are the best for me and they are one of my skin's BFF. I prefer BB cream more than foundation because BB cream has moisturizer and SPF in it. Right now, my favorite BB cream is the Innisfree Eco Natural Green Tea. This BB Cream is very moisturizing, smooth, creamy, and lightweight. Plus, it has green tea abstract in it that is good for the skin.

STEP 4: EYEBROW PENCIL

After I'm done with my face, I will do a lit bit of touch-up at the eye area. I don't use eye shadow, eyeliner, and even mascara (seriously, I hate these three things). But do use an eyebrow pencil to make my brows look electrifying. Too bad that I'm not blessed with the Crayon Shin Chan electrifying eyebrows. If have Crayon Shin Chan's eyebrows, I won't be needing an eyebrow pencil. Right now, my favorite eyebrow pencil is the Innisfree Auto Eyebrow Pencil. This eyebrow pencil is smooth. It makes my eyebrows look natural.

STEP 5: LIPSTICK & LIP GLOSS

Step 5 is the final and best part of my step-by-step makeup routine. I do love wearing lipstick and lip gloss although I'm not a fan of makeup. Lipstick and lip gloss are very essential to me. They make my appearance complete. Besides beauty, I believe that lipsticks and lip glosses are also fashion essential. As a lipstick lover, I love to experiment with my look with all kinds of lipstick colors. I love red, pink, orange, peach, nude, and even purple color lipstick. Some of my favorite lipstick brands are Innisfree, Face Shop, Etude House, Laneige, Mina,  Breena, and Nita Cosmetics.

Me after makeup ^_^

Ok, so this is my step-by-step makeup routine. Hope you guys like it. Before I end this post, I have two questions to ask my female readers. Are you girls into makeup? If yes, what kind of makeup do you girls prefer? Light? Or heavy?

Ok, that's all for now. Thank you for reading. Have a good day ^_^

  1. Love this quick makeup routine! Honestly I am so bad at it, I usually have my skincare and just lipstick, when I feel fancy i try my hand at eyeliners but don't have great result! I didn't know Laneige did makeup too, will check them out x

    1. Wearing just skincare and lipstick is already good enough. The less make up the better. I also never achieve good result with eyeliners, eye shadows, mascara, and even blusher. In fact, I look like a clown in heavy makeup. That's why heavy makeup is a taboo for me 🙅‍♀️🙅‍♀️🙅‍♀️

  28. I don't like to wear makeup either, except for very special occasions, and even then, it's light makeup. To me, makeup is meant to enhance your best features and hide some flaws -- not change your face completely. I find it rather disturbing to see wedding makeup where the bride is transformed into a totally different person. It's like the groom is marrying someone else! 😳

    ReplyDelete

    1. Looks like you and I have the same impression and opinion about makeup. True, makeup is to enhance your best features and hide some flaws. Wearing makeup doesn't make any different. Yeah, I also agree with you on bridal makeup. I don't understand why malay brides have to wear extremely tick makeup. Especially contact lenses and fake eyelashes. It make them look so alien 👽 😳🙃 but on the second thought, I think all the Mak andams uses that trick just for marketing and to make more money. Contact lenses and fake eyelashes are costly. So all Mak andams can charge people more on that.
