NOVEL REVIEW: Lady Cop Makes Trouble By Amy Stewart

Eiyo dearies,

Fadima Mooneira is back with a brand new post. Today, I would like to share a novel review of Lady Cop Makes Trouble (LCMT) by Amy Stewart with you guys. Now let's begin with the author's bio.....

ABOUT AMY STEWART

The author- Amy Stewart (Image: amystewart.com)

Amy Stewart is a New York Times Best Selling author. Her books had been sold over a million copies worldwide and have been translated into 17 different languages. Some of her famous books are The Drunken Botanist, Wicked Plants, and Flower Confidential. Stewart lives in Portland, America with her husband.

ABOUT LADY COP MAKES TROUBLE

LCMT was published in September 2016. It is a very adventurous and crime-action novel and it is part of the Kopp sisters series. LCMT tells the story of a lady deputy sheriff named Constance Kopp. The story took place in New Jersey, America year 1915. Kopp was one of the earliest lady deputy sheriffs in America. She was very enthusiastic and committed to her job. Kopp loved her job and was grateful to the liberal Sheriff Heath for the opportunity.

Kopp's job as the sheriff also allowed her to support her sister, Norma, and illegitimate child, Fleurette. At that time in America, not many women were hired as police officers. Most people thought that women aren't strong and fit enough to be police officers.

One day, Kopp was told to accompanied and guarded a German-speaking prisoner named Herman von Matthesius to a hospital. Matthesius was diagnosed with dire symptoms. But unfortunately, the prisoner took advantage and escaped.

Kopp was mortified. Her slip-up justified the sexist slurs of her former male colleagues, and it could send Sheriff Heath to jail. Constance determined to track down Matthesius herself. Will she succeed?

MY REVIEW

I have to be honest that this novel is not my kinda genre. However, I did enjoy reading the feminist point of view that the author shared in this novel. I think it's a good one. It's about breaking the glass ceiling. I also like the way Stewart used POV 1 in this novel. It brings me closer to the protagonist. Plus, this novel has an intriguing storyline. I'm sure those who love action stories will love it.

Overall, I'm giving this novel a 7/10. I would recommend this novel to those who love action, adventure, and crime stories. Trust me, you are going to love this novel.

Before I end this post, I would like to ask my readers some questions. Has anyone read Lady Cop Makes Trouble? If yes, what are your opinions of the novel and the whole story? Did you enjoy it? Pls, share it with me in the comment box below.

That's all for now. Thank you for reading this review. Hope to see you guys again soon. Bye-bye.

XoXo,

Fadima Mooneira ^_^
