At the beginning of the story, Trevor reminds himself that he isn't ready to fall in love. But during his stay in New Bern, Trevor meets a beautiful deputy sheriff named Natalie Masterson. Natalie is also a very charming and intelligent woman. Her charm seems to reciprocate Trevor's feelings. Trevor starts to fall for her. However, Natalie keeps herself away from Trevor. The way Natalie behave makes Trevor wonder what is she hiding from him.

At New Bern, Trevor also meets a sullen and mysterious teenage girl named Callie. Callie lives in a trailer down the road and she was close to Trevor's grandfather. Trevor hopes that Callie can help him to investigate his grandfather's mysterious death. But she offers him a few new clues. To investigate his grandfather's death, Trevor also has to uncover the true nature of Callie's past and her true identity.

In his quest to unravel his grandfather's death, and Natalie's and Callie's secrets, Trevor will have to learn the true meaning of love and forgiveness. Trevor also has to return often to the place where it all began for him to move forward.

MY REVIEW OF THE RETURN

Nicholas Sparks is one of my all-time favorite authors. I've been a fan of Sparks ever since I was in high school. A Walk To Remember is the first Sparks' novel that I read. As a big fan of Sparks, I believe this New York Times bestselling author never fails to charm his fans with his stories. Just like Sparks' previous novels, The Return is another beautiful novel that all Sparks fans must not miss.

The Return is not just about romance. It's also about family, kindness, forgiveness, life, self-discovery, and having second chances. Just like Sparks' previous stories, The Return also has a lot of philosophies in it. Reading The Return makes me learn a lot about kindness, and forgiving myself and others. Besides that, I also learned a lot about bees and how they make honey. Hehehe... it's interesting ^_^

Overall, I rate this novel 10/10. I highly recommend my fellow bookworms to read The Return. Especially those who are into the romance genre. Trust me, guys, this is a novel you won't regret reading. Plus, it is interesting to read a romance novel written by a male author. Reading a romance novel that is written by a male author makes me learn that men have different opinions on romance compared to women. Most romance novels that are written by male authors are more simple yet philosophical. While romance novels by female authors are more passionate, fiery, and hot. However, both are fun and entertaining to read.

Ok, so this is my review of The Return by Nicholas Sparks. Before I end this post I have four questions for my readers...

1) Has anyone read The Return by Nicholas Sparks?

2) If yes, what are your opinions of the novel? Did you enjoy reading it?

3) Are you a fan of Nicholas Sparks?

4) If yes, what is your favorite Nicholas Sparks novel?

Ok, this is all for now. Thank you for reading my review. I'll see you guys again in my next post. Take care.

XoXo,

Fadima Mooneira ^_^
