Welcome back to Fadima Mooneira. And I'm back to share with you a lifestyle post. For today's entry, I'm going to share with you the five activities that I enjoy doing besides writing and blogging. These activities also helped fuel my passion for writing and blogging. They bring inspiration, make me feel calm, and energize me. Now let's take a look at what these activities are...
#1 READING
Reading is an essential hobby for all writers. A writer must also be a reader and an analyst to write well. Alhamdulillah. I'm an avid reader, a bookworm, and a reviewer. I'm the kind of person who always needs to have a book to read. Every month, I read 2-3 books. I read all kinds of genres, except for horror. Hehehe :P My reading hobby and love for books nurture my writing passion and have made me realize my dream of becoming an author. I'm grateful for this hobby.
#2 DRAWING
Drawing was my first hobby ever. And it's the first skill my mom taught me. I started drawing at the age of 3. I began by drawing mermaids, fairies, princesses, and Barbies. Hehehe ^_^ Until now, I still love to draw. This hobby is valuable to me. And I don't want to lose it.
#3 CRAFTING

Besides drawing, I also love doing crafts. I've been learning crafts since I was in kindergarten. But I stopped this hobby when I entered high school. I had no time to do crafts. My life just got busier as I get older. But alhamdulillah, I got the chance to start this hobby again last year. And I appreciate crafting even more this time. Crafting is not just a hobby for me now. It's also a passion. I first started taking some classes with Spotlight. I learned to make and sew my own plush toys. Yay! And early this year, I became a certified crafter after launching my first plush toy collection, LLa'Dima Llamas. Besides, Lla'Dima Llamas, I'm also working on other plushies as well. #4 TRAVELING
Traveling is a family hobby. Yup, my family and I love traveling. I believe traveling is a good hobby. Traveling gives me ideas and inspiration to write my stories. Traveling also makes me a knowledgeable and open-minded person. Every interesting place I visited is valuable to me. Syukur alhamdulillah.
#5 FITNESS WORKOUTS
Like reading, fitness workouts, and physical activities are also essential for writers. Of course, fitness workouts help us to look good during book events and our meet & greet sessions. Hehehe >_< But at the same time, fitness workouts also help us to have a healthy mind. Having a healthy mind is important for all writers.
I recently discovered yoga. And yes, I'm doing yoga as my fitness workout. Writing can sometimes get me overwhelmed. It makes me think too much about the future and the past. So I do yoga to bring me back to the present. Yoga is really calming, guys. It's not just good for my body. But this fitness workout is also good for my mind and soul. Besides yoga, I also love doing pilates and kickboxing. I love mixing up my fitness workouts. Hehehe ^_^

DeleteThis was a really fun post! It was nice getting to know you more! You’re so right about reading! I once had a teacher say “If you want to become a better writer, read more.” The love of writing usually goes hand in hand with the love of reading! You’re also very right about the importance of keeping your body healthy! I admire your commitment to taking care of yourself! That’s something I’m working on. My weight has become a problem, and I’m trying to work on not gaining anymore weight. It’s been hard! Despite wanting to exercise, I just don’t have the motivation to do it regularly. How often do you exercise? How do you stay motivated? ❤️
ReplyDeleteHehehe... to be honest, I'm not that good when it comes to staying/being fit. I also gained a lot of weight since the past seven years. And I'm struggling to bring my weight down. I'm actually quite lazy when it comes to working out. But it's a must. I recently started yoga. I love it and believe it might be a good way for me to stay committed and motivated in fitness. Yoga is a combo of exercise and relax. Maybe you can try yoga too.
DeleteI love reading, walking in nature, and watching movies. I think I need to expand the things I do to include more create things (although I do write poetry). It was lovely reading more about you!
