NOVEL REVIEW: TWISTED HATE BY ANA HUANG

Eiyo Fadneiras,

Welcome back to Fadima Mooneira ^_^ I'm here to share a novel review with you guys. But before that, I have good news to share...

My 8th book, Komplot Cerpen Penulis Paluan Seni Vol. 2 (KCPPS 2) will be out soon. KCPPS 2 is also my 7th collaboration book with 22 authors. It's a book of short stories. The story I wrote in KCPPS 2 is titled Danfo. Danfo is a short rom-com about a webtoon artist and an actor. Any updates and information on KCPPS 2 will be shared on this blog, my author's page, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. So don't miss out.

Okay... now let's get back to today's objective. In today's post, I'm going to share my review of Twisted Hate by Ana Huang. Now let's begin this review with Ana Huang's bio...

ABOUT ANA HUANG

The Queen of the new adult romance genre ~ Ana Huang (Image: Elle India)

Ana Huang is an Asian-American author. She's also known as the queen of the new adult romance fiction. Her stories include alpha male heroes, strong heroines, and plenty of steam, angst, and swoon sprinkled in. Most of her novels have been sold to over two dozen foreign publishers for translation and featured in outlets such as NPR, Cosmopolitan, Financial Times, and Glamour UK.

Huang describes herself as a self-professed travel enthusiast. As a jet setter, Huang loves featuring beautiful places that she visited in her stories. She's also obsessed with hot chocolate and has multiple relationships with fictional boyfriends.

ABOUT TWISTED HATE

Twisted Hate (TH) is the third book in Ana Huang's Twisted series. The story follows Jules Ambrose and Josh Chen. Jules and Josh are never lovers. And they are not even friends. They despise each other a lot.

Charming and good-looking young doctor, Josh Chen has never met a woman he couldn't charm, except for his sister's best friend, Jules Ambrose. The beautiful redhead has been a thorn to Josh since the day they met. But at the same time, Jules also consumes Josh's thoughts in a way no woman ever has.

Quick-witted and ambitious, Jules Ambrose has two goals to focus on - passing the bar exam and getting hired by Silver & Klien. And she wants nothing to do with Josh Chen. He is her best friend's brother and the man she hated for so long. But the more Jules gets to know Josh, the more she realizes that there's more than meets the eye. And Josh feels the same about Jules.

Voila! My fan art of Jules Ambrose & Josh Chen. It's also one of their hot scenes in the story (Image: My Artstagram @fmooneira_art)

After an unexpected one-night stand, Josh proposes a solution that will get Jules out of his system once and for all. He asks her to become his enemies-with-benefits with simple rules. No jealousy. No strings attached. And no falling in love.

But Josh's proposal did not work well. The more they see each other, the more they want each other. When Josh finds out that Jules is haunted by her past and former lover, he vows to protect her at all costs. So can Josh protect Jules from her ex-boyfriend? Are they going to have a happy ending?

MY REVIEW OF TWISTED HATE

Twisted Hate carries the trope from-enemies-to-lovers. But Twisted Hate is not a romantic comedy. The story has dark vibes and it is geared toward adult readers aged 18 and above. This novel is extremely spicy and has a lot of steamy sexual scenes in it.

Twisted Hate is a very enjoyable novel to read. Like all Ana Huang's novels I've read, Twisted Hate also has an interesting plot, intriguing storyline, and charming characters in it. Everything blends well in the story.

Check out my fan cast for Twisted Hate ~ Anya Taylor-Joy as Jules Ambrose, and Remy Hii as Josh Chen ^_^

I like Jules Ambrose's character. I believe Jules is a very strong-willed heroine. She's a fighter. She fights her own battles. And she's not the kind of girl who gives in easily. Plus, she's a bookworm and bookstores are her favorite place for a hangout and date. Aummm!!!

At the beginning of the story, I did not like Josh Chen's character. I believe he is too nasty and grumpy. Plus, I don't like the way he treats Jules. But as the plot grows, Josh changes into a loving and caring hero. I like the way he cares for Jules. I also like the way he protects her. Now that's a dream hero. Hehehe ^_^

Overall, I rate this novel 10/10. And I highly recommend it to my fellow bookworms who are into the new adult romance genre. Trust me, guys, Twisted Hate is a must-not-miss novel. And you're definitely going to enjoy it.

Okay, so this is my review of Ana Huang's Twisted Hate. I hope you guys enjoyed reading this review. Before I end this post, I would like to ask my readers two related questions...

1) Has anyone read Twisted Hate by Ana Huang?

2) If yes, what are your opinions of Josh Chen's character?

Hehehe... I'm looking forward to your answers. See you guys in my next post. Insya-Allah.

XoXo,

Fadima Mooneira ^_^
