Today, I will share my review of Anjell's Hero Seorang Cinderella. Now let's begin this review with Anjell's bio...

Anjell is a pen name chosen by Malaysia's bestselling new adult romance novelist. Hero Seorang Cinderella is her fourth novel. Hero Seorang Cinderella was published in 2016. Other than Hero Seorang Cinderella, Anjell has also written Eksperimen Cinta, Suamiku Paling Sweet, Tundukan Playboy Itu, Dr. Alpha Male, Dheo's, Dia Tetap Sempurna, King Haidar, and Rose's. All her novels are listed as bestsellers and everyone's favorite read. All of her novels belong in the new adult romance genre. Two of her novels, Tundukan Playboy Itu and Hero Seorang Cinderella have already been adapted into a TV series drama.
ABOUT HERO SEORANG CINDERELLA
Hero Seorang Cinderella (HSC) follows a somber young lady named Nura Medina. Medina is pretty and she comes from a quite wealthy family. But her life isn't a fairytale.
Medina's mother left her when she was only a baby. Medina now lives with her father, Datuk Azizan, stepmother, Datin Mawar, and stepsister, Puteri. Datuk Azizan loves Medina. But unfortunately, the old man is weak and scared of his wife.
Datin Mawar is not a good woman and mother. She hates Medina. And she only marries Datuk Azizan for his fortune. Her daughter, Puteri is also not so nice to Medina. Oh dear... poor Medina. She's really the modern-day Cinderella. But Cinderella has her Prince Charming. Will Medina meet her Prince Charming too? Well, her fate is about to change...
On one fine day, Medina meets Tengku Ian Uzzam. Tengku Ian is a charming and handsome hunk. He is also from a very wealthy family. His smile melts every woman's heart. But Tengku Ian only has his eyes for Medina. And he will do whatever it takes to win her heart even though it won't be easy for him. Will Tengku Ian win Medina? Will Medina open her heart to Tengku Ian and love?
MY REVIEW OF HERO SEORANG CINDERELLA
Like all of Anjell's novels that I've read before, HSC is another enjoyable read. HSC is not just a modern-day Cinderella fairytale romance. But this story is also about family, kindness, and forgiveness. I like the moral values that Anjell applied in her writing for HSC. The moral messages that she gave to her readers are also well-said and clear.
Besides moral values and messages, I also like the characters that Anjell created for this story. All the characters are make-believe people. They all have their strengths, flaws, and backstories. None of the characters in HSC are Mary Sue and Garry Stu. Hehehe ^_^ Plus, they all have good character arcs.
Anjell's writing in HSC is a bit different from her other novels. In most of her novels, Anjell used POV 1. But in this novel, she used POV 3. However, her writing style in HSC is still good as always. It's still chic and easy for me to visualize the story.
Overall, I rate this novel 9/10. HSC is an enjoyable read for me. Insya-Allah, I will reread this novel in the future. I highly recommend my fellow bookworms who are into the new adult romance genre to read Hero Seorang Cinderella. Trust me, guys, you will enjoy this novel.
Okay, so this is my review of Hero Seorang Cinderella by Anjell. Before I end this post, let me share one fun fact about Hero Seorang Cinderella. This novel has been adapted into a TV series back in 2017. The drama series was also a hit. After the drama became famous, the actress who played Medina (Nur Fazura) and the actor who played Tengku Ian (Fattah Amin) started dating. Awww! They became the most popular celebrity couple in the Malaysia entertainment industry. Not long after that, they got married. Now they have one daughter together and are still so in love. God bless Fattzura ^_^
