Welcome back to Fadima Mooneira and the book heartthrob profile episode. In this month's episode, I will share my analysis of West Ravenel. He is a book heartthrob created by Lisa Kleypas for one of her best-selling novels, Devil's Daughter.

ABOUT WEST RAVENEL
NAME: West Ravenel
NATIONALITY: British
OCCUPATION: Estate Manager
HIS ROLES IN THE STORY: He's the male protagonist, and also the love interest to the female protagonist, Phoebe, Lady Clare.
HIS GOALS:
As an ultimate rake, love and marriage are always the last thing on West Ravenel's mind. But when West meets Phoebe at a relative's wedding, he is captivated by her charm. Phoebe is not just a pretty face woman. She's also elegant, classy, poise, and smart. But West is also shocked to know that Phoebe is the widow of the person he used to bully back in boarding school. Phoebe knows who West is. She also knows all the nasty things that West did to her late husband. Yikes!
As the plot evolves, West's feelings for Phoebe grow stronger. But he knows that she's a woman far out of his reach. So West tries to avoid Phoebe. But the more West tries to avoid the woman that he loves, the more crazy he gets. Can West keep this ongoing?
HIS PERSONALITY
West Ravenel is a very cool and adorable character. He's extroverted, very cheerful, funny, and witty. Before Devil's Daughter, West Ravenel has already appeared in Cold-Hearted Rake, Marrying Winterborne, Devil In Spring, and Hello Stranger. In fact, he is the most lovable character in the Ravenels series. LK fans love this character. Hehehe ^_^
Besides his adorable personality, West is also intelligent and intellectual. He's very knowledgeable in farming and agriculture. Hehehe ^_^
HIS PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES
West Ravenel is another tall dark and handsome alpha male hero. He has dark hair and dark blue eyes. His smile melted everyone's heart. Hehehe ^_^ West is also a very well-dressed man.
HIS BACKSTORY
West is not as bad as Phoebe thought he was. In fact, he is a very nice and kind-hearted person. He only had a bad childhood. West's parents did not give him much love and attention that he needed as a child. And that made him a bully. In the story, there's a scene where West admits that he was jealous of Harry (Phoebe's late husband) back in boarding school. Harry was so calm and always had good books to read. Compared to Harry, West was a lonely kid.
MY OVERALL REVIEW OF THE CHARACTER
I agree with fellow LK fans that West Ravenel is a very lovable character. He is funny, cute, cheerful, witty, and fun to be with. But he is not my favorite hero in the Ravenel series. And he is not the kind of guy I will date. Hehehe ^_^ But he is the kind of guy I like to be friends with. I'm more into someone like Ethan Ransom (the male lead in Hello Stranger). Yep, I'm into guys with mysterious aura. Ngehehe ^_^
Okay, enough about me. Now let's get back to West. Overall, West Ravenel is a very lovable and adorable character. I like the way he treats Phoebe. And I also like the way he cares for her. He is a gentleman indeed. And all the above makes West Ravenel a swoon-worthy hero. If you ladies don't believe me, read Devil's Daughter and other books in the Ravenel series. I'm sure you will like this character.
