Having a good night sleep is one of the most important health components. According to health experts, adults age 18-60 need at least 7-9 hours of sleep each night. But sleeping for at least 7 hours doesn't come easy for some us. Those who are working in the creative industry and self-employed usually have a hard time falling asleep at night, including me as well. It's because our brain is moving and oozing with ideas before we go to bed. Am I right?
Health experts already suggested some ways for us to improve our Zzzzzzz. One of the ways is drinking the right beverages before going to bed. So in this post, I am going to share with you guys my top 5 favorite beverages before bedtime. So far, these beverages help me to have a good night sleep.
#1 Chamomile Tea
Chamomile tea is my no.1 favorite beverage before bedtime. Drinking chamomile tea helps me to be calm and feel relax at night. Even health experts already listed chamomile tea as one of the best beverages to drink before bedtime. It really helps you to improve your Zzzzzzzzz.
#2 Green Tea
Green tea is an Asian woman's best friend. It's because green tea also contributes to our beauty besides just health. Drinking green tea at night is really refreshing. Besides making me sleep like a baby at night, green tea also helps me with my weight and complexion.
#3 Hot Chocolate
Hot chocolate is one of my all-time favorite beverages. When I was living in Manchester, hot chocolate has always been my companion during winter days. Drinking hot chocolate at night makes me think of happy things. It also makes me feel that my troubles are far away. That's how hot chocolate helps me with my Zzzzzzzzz.
#4 White-Hot Chocolate
I just discovered white-hot chocolate during my London vacation in 2018. White-hot chocolate is just as good as the normal hot chocolate. Drinking white-chocolate at night makes me think of happy things as well.
#5 Lemon-And-Ginger Tea
Lemon-And-Ginger tea is one of my favorite beverages before bedtime. The taste of lemon and ginger is very refreshing and calming. I just can't say no to the aroma. Hehehe. Lemon-And-Ginger tea is also a good detox drink for me. It helps me with my weight.

DeleteLemon and ginger tea is one of my favorite hot drinks that I have all the time when I'm working! I've never had it before bed and usually stick to chamomile tea but I will have to try it!

DeleteI absolutely LOVE hot chocolate, especially before going to bed (fellow creative here who has a hard time falling asleep, lol). I had no idea about white hot chocolate!! I'll definitely be on the lookout for that! This is a great list...I'm not a huge tea drinker, but since it's so relaxing and calming (especially chamomile) I'm trying to drink more of it. Thanks for the recommendations!

DeleteI am a huge tea lover with SO many different options here at the house, depending on how I'm feeling. That being said, I seem to reach for green tea before bed 9 times out of 10. I know that chamomile is often seen as the traditional 'sleepy time tea', but I'm not a huge fan of the taste of it. Green tea, however - I could drink that all the time! I love it! If my allergies are acting up, I'll throw peppermint in with it to help soothe my sinuses and then it really knocks me out.

DeleteHello Fadima I'm having the same problem I struggle to sleep at night. Instead of sleeping I find myself reviewing my daily goals list, tommorrows To Do List, writting down blog ideas and ofcourse eating snack. Then I find myself sleeping in the early mornings and still wake up after five hours of sleeping so I'll try greentea and see. Thank you for these recommendations and looking forward to read more of your work as I've subscribed.

DeleteGetting a good night sleep is essential for us to have energy to welcome the challenge for tomorrow. My favorite bed time drink is decaf tea. It warms my body and soul after a long day. Besides, painting of a room does affect our sleep. After I have a kids room painting service, my kids have a better sleep in the night too.

DeleteHot chocolate is one of my favourite drinks at night too. If we don't have any hot chocolate in, I also enjoy a malted milk drink as that helps me get off to sleep too.
