FIVE REASONS TO ADMIRE ROWOON
He was born as Kim Seok-Woo, but popularly known as Rowoon. This incredibly handsome South Korean actor and singer is now one of the hottest heartthrobs in Hallyu entertainment. Rowoon began his career in the entertainment industry as a member of the all-boys K-pop group SF9. He made his debut with the band in October 2016 with their single ‘Fanfare’.
Rowoon’s popularity began to rise in 2017. He started making solo appearances and ventured into acting. Rowoon was first cast in a supporting role in KBS’s School 2017. During the following year, he was cast in TVN’s About Time and SBS’s Where Stars Land, and was nominated for the New Actor award.
Rowoon’s popularity skyrocketed after he was cast as the male lead in MBC’s 2019 school fantasy drama, Extraordinary You. The success of "Extraordinary You" earned Rowoon numerous nominations for the 2019 MBC Drama Awards, and he won the award for Best New Actor. Way to go, Rowoon!

Following his success with Extraordinary You, Rowoon secured numerous leading roles. Some of Rowoon’s famous dramas are She Would Never Know (2021 ~ love him in this drama!), The King’s Affection (2021), Tomorrow (2022), Destined With You (2023), and The Matchmakers (2023). In September 2023, Rowoon left SF9 to pursue his acting career.
Rowoon’s handsomeness is out of this world. Most beauty experts say Rowoon’s good looks are a mixture of a Greek God and a Middle-earth elf. And I agree with them ^_^ Rowoon’s super-stunning visuals make him one of the commercial film kings in South Korea. He has endorsed beauty brands like Klavu and Estée Lauder. He is now one of the spokespersons for Calvin Klein. Check him out in their latest ads. Auuuwww!!!

As a fan of Rowoon, I’m going to share five reasons to admire this Hallyu heartthrob besides his excellent acting skills and good looks. Now, let’s check out reason number 1...
#1 HE PLAYS SWOON-WORTHY CHARACTERS

Besides his superb acting, Rowoon is also known as a swoon-worthy hero. He always plays swoon-worthy roles. I like him in She Would Never Know the most. His character in that drama is really a dream boyfriend. Auuuwww! And I definitely had a crush on him when he played Jung Ji-Woon in The King’s Affection. He is the perfect historical romance hero.
#2 HE’S A CHEMISTRY KING

Besides his superb and swoon-worthy acting, Rowoon is also known as a chemistry king. He has chemistry with all of his female leads. I like his chemistry with Park Eun-Bin in The King’s Affection the most. In the future, I would like to see Rowoon act alongside A-list actresses like Kim Sejeong, IU, Bae Suzy, or Kim Yoo-Jung. And if Rowoon goes to Hollywood, I would like to see him as Zendaya’s leading man. Hehehe >_<
#3 HE RESPECTS HIS SENIORS

Rowoon was featured in House On Wheels season 4 alongside senior actors Sung Dong-il and Kim Hee-Won. House on Wheels is a TvN’s famous variety show. In the show, Rowoon shows a lot of respect to Dong-il, Hee-won, and other celebrity guest stars. In one of the episodes, he even talks about how much he loves and cares for his parents. Auuuwww ... what a sweetheart ^_^
#4 HE’S A DOWN-TO-EARTH PERSON

Besides being polite, Rowoon is also a humble person. His humbleness makes him lovable to other celebrities, filmmakers, and the media. Rowoon’s humbleness also makes him an easy person to work with.
#5 HE’S INTELLECTUAL AND LOVES TO READ
Rowoon is not just a handsome face. This hunk is brains and brawn. Rowoon is intellectual, a bibliophile, and a poet. For Rowoon, reading books is not just a hobby, but also the path to self-discovery, a medium to communicate with oneself, and to understand oneself better. Rowoon sees reading as a door to exploring the world through a different lens. This makes me like Rowoon even more. I love guys who read. Hehehe >_<
