Welcome back to Fadima Mooneira. October is just around the corner. October is a festive month for bookworms worldwide. Yay!!! So, are my fellow bookworms excited for October? In October, the bookish online community hosts many readathons. Some of the readathons are Spooktober, 24-Hour Autumn Readathon, Owntober, and Pinktober.
So which readathon are you participating in this October? I decided to participate in Spooktober. I already listed some dark fantasy, dark romance, and thriller novels on my October TBR. In fact, I just finished my first Spooktober read yesterday. Hehehe ^_^

But in this post, I want to recommend books for Pinktober instead. I’ve been participating in Pinktober for the past 2 years. And these are the books I’ve read for the past Pinktober readathons. So, if you want to join the Pinktober readathon and are still looking for pink books to read, here are my recommendations…

#1 GIRL, GODDESS, QUEEN BY BEA FITZGERALD
This Hades-and-Persephone-inspired romantasy novel is the pinkest book I’ve read and have on my shelf. Not just the cover is in shocking pink. But the spray pages are also pink. Whoa!!! But don’t be tricked by the pink color. This book is not 100% girlish. Btw, pink is not only for girls. Hehehe! In Girl, Goddess, Queen, Persephone is portrayed as a badass goddess. Hades doesn’t kidnap her. She jumps into the underworld herself. Persephone is tired of her overcontrolling mother, Demeter, and her bossy father, Zeus. Huhuhu… the way the author portrays Persephone in this story makes Girl, Goddess, Queen a good choice for Pinktober.
#2 HELLO STRANGER BY LISA KLEYPAS
Black and pink are always a striking combo. Any object with the colors black and pink will always look eye-catching, just like this action historical romance novel by Lisa Kleypas. Like the recommendation above, Hello Stranger also features a strong-willed and badass female lead. Yup, Dr. Garrett Gibson is a female lead that most female readers love to look up to as a role model. She is beautiful and elegant, yet strong and independent. Btw, this character is modeled after a real person, Dr. Elizabeth Garrett Anderson. She is the first female physician in England. Whoa!!! Hello Stranger is definitely a good choice for Pinktober, guys ^_^
#3 SUAMIKU PALING SWEET BY ANJELL
Suamiku Paling Sweet is a Bahasa Malaysia contemporary romance novel written by Malaysia’s bestselling novelist, Anjell. This novel is Anjell’s second book. In Suamiku Paling Sweet, Anjell shares her point of view on love, marriage, relationships, and life. It's so mature. This author is really beyond her years. And this makes the novel a good choice for the Pinktober readathon.
#4 HERO SEORANG CINDERELLA BY ANJELL
Black & pink combo with sparks of fireworks. Stunning! This bestselling romance novel is not just a modern-day Cinderella fairytale. The story is also about family, kindness, and forgiveness. I like the moral values that Anjell applied in her writing for Hero Seorang Cinderella. The moral messages that she gave to her readers are also well-said and clear. Hero Seorang Cinderella is definitely a good Pinktober read.
#5 SARANGHAEYO NAMSAN BY FADIMA MOONEIRA ^_^
And last but not least, here’s my second novel, Saranghaeyo Namsan. Hooray!!! Btw, some of my friends are nicknaming this novel Pinkilicious. Hehehe ^_^ Besides romance, this Pride-and-Prejudice-inspired romcom is also about family, friendship, and chasing dreams. It’s a very inspiring and feel-good story to read. Saranghaeyo Namsan features a strong-willed and ambition-driven female lead who is memorable to all FMU fans. Alhamdulillah. I’m grateful that my readers like Maya Juhara. Btw, Maya Juhara is the elder sister of Yasmeen Aizura (the female lead in my latest novel, Manchester Epiphany). Saranghaeyo Namsan is geared towards bookworms (the story is about books), literature buffs, K-pop & K-drama lovers, foodies, and travel enthusiasts.
