Two of my novels, Fail Merah and Saranghaeyo Namsan, are nominated for the PNM Book Award 2025/2026 under the Printed Book Reader's Choice Category. Syukur alhamdulillah. I'm very grateful. Okay, now let's get back to today's objective and begin our tour ...
#1 PRINCESS HANG LI PO
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, check out my very own version of Princess Hang Li Po. Princess Hang Li Po is a very famous historical figure in Malaysia history. She was actually a princess of the Ming Dynasty sent as a tribute to marry Sultan Mansur Shah of Melaka (1456-1477), according to the Malay annals. Melaka was known as a prosperous city during the reign of Sultan Mansur Shah. According to most historians, Melaka was the Venice of the East. Merchants from all around the world came to Melaka for fortune and opportunities.
I've always been fascinated with Princess Hang Li Po's story ever since I was a child. Princess Hang Li Po's marriage to Sultan Mansur Shah is believed to be the first interracial marriage in the early history of the Malay archipelago. And her handmaidens' marriages to the local dignitaries are said to have produced the Peranakan (Baba & Nyonya) people of today. That's why Princess Hang Li Po is an important figure in Malaysia history.
Ladies and gentlemen, this artwork we are looking at is a hand-drawn illustration. I used an iPad Pro, iPencil, and the Adobe Fresco app to draw it. Now let's move to the second artwork ...
#2 YASMEEN IN VENUS LOOK
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls ... we are now standing in front of the second artwork of this month's gallery. The second artwork is an illustration of Yasmeen Aizura in a Venus look. Yasmeen Aizura is a character I created for one of my stories. She was first featured in my second novel, Saranghaeyo Namsan. She's the MC, Maya Juhara's younger sister. Soon, Yasmeen is going to be the protagonist of her own story. And I'm working on it now ^_^
Like the first artwork, this character art is also drawn by me using an iPad Pro, iPencil, and the Adobe Fresco app.
#3 YASMEEN AND HER LOVE INTEREST
Everyone, here's another character art of Yasmeen Aizura. But this time she is not alone. She is standing next to her love interest. Yup, it's ML in my upcoming novel. He is a hunk and another book heartthrob to swoon your heart. Hehehe ^_^
Similar to the two artworks I showed you before, this illustration is also created using an iPad Pro, Apple iPencil, and the Adobe Fresco app. Okay, now let's move on to the fourth artwork...
#4 BLACK HEART PINK BUNNY
Voila! Check out one of the plushies I made. It's a black and pink bunny. I used black and pink floral cotton fabric and stuffing to make this bunny. This bunny is a pocket-sized plushie. Since this bunny is only a pocket-sized one, you can tag it along easily with you anywhere you go. Hehehe ^_^ Okay, this is all about the fourth artwork. Now let's not waste time and check out the fifth artwork ...
#5 ARBAN BATSAIKHAN IN AUTUMN VIBES
Everyone ... here's the ML in my upcoming novel. Yup, it's Arban Batsaikhan. He's Yasmeen Aizura's love interest. Arban has an interesting background, job, and personality. He is even modelled after one of South Korea's ultimate heartthrobs. And bomber jackets are his trademark.
This is all I want to share about Arban at the moment. But if you want more updates on my writing project, please follow my Instagram @mughunghwa. Insya-Allah, my third novel will be released early next year. Please pray that everything will be at ease for me. Aamiin. Like the first, second, and third artwork, this character art is also hand-drawn using iPencil, iPad Pro, and the Adobe Fresco app.
Okay, so these are the five artworks I've selected to share with you for this month's gallery. Whoa! I can't believe time envies us. This is the last art gallery for 2025. Insya-Allah, the Fadima Mooneira Art Gallery virtual tour will be back in January 2026. For updates on the Fadima Mooneira Art Gallery virtual tour, please follow this blog, my Instagram, Artstagram, Twitter, Facebook, and TikTok closely.
Okay, this is all for now. I'll see you guys again in my next post. Please vote for Fail Merah and Saranghaeyo Namsan for the PNM Book Awards 2025/2026. Thank you in advance ^_^
