I am feeling excited to introduce this episode's book heartthrob to you. This book heartthrob is going to be a classic one. And he is Tengku Rafique, a book heartthrob written by Mazni Aznita for her 2011 bestselling novel, Sayangku Casper. Yay!!! Now let's check out Tengku Rafique's profile...

HIS ROLES IN THE STORY: The male lead and love interest to the female lead and protagonist, Tia Adila.
HIS GOALS: Tengku Rafique wants to protect his grandmother, Madame Marianne. He also wants to save Madame Marianne's fashion house, House of Fluer, from his father's evil scheme. Tengku Rafique travels to Malaysia to search for Madame Marianne's long-lost granddaughter, Adelie de Casper. But during his rendezvous in Kuala Lumpur, fate brings him to Tia Adila.
HIS PERSONALITY
Tengku Rafique is portrayed as a charming and cool hunk. He is happy-go-lucky, even though he has a sad, dark past. He is also a funny guy and has a good sense of humour. Beyond being charming, cool, cheerful, and funny, Tengku Rafique is also kindhearted, responsible, and an intellectual man. He loves astronomy and stargazing. Whoa!!! I love this kinda man. And since he is the CEO of a huge fashion house in Paris, Tengku Rafique is also portrayed as a stylish and fashion-savvy guy. Whoa!!! Totally charming!!!
HIS PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES
Mazni Aznita did not describe Tengku Rafique's physical attributes in detail in the story. She only mentioned that Tengku Rafique is tall, masculine, has light brown eyes, and a Eurasian look. Therefore, I fan-cast South Korean actor, singer, and model Choi Min Ho as Tengku Rafique. Like Tengku Rafique, Choi Min Ho is tall, charming, and charismatic. So he is the perfect celebrity to be fan-cast as Tengku Rafique.

HIS BACKSTORY
Tengku Rafique is not Madame Marianne de Casper's biological grandson. His mother, Mathilda, is Madame Marianne's adopted daughter. After Mathilda passed away, Tengku Adrian sent his son, Tengku Rafique, to live with Madame Marianne at Villa Casper. Tengku Rafique was only 12 years old at that time.
Greedy Tengku Adrian wants his son to become a spy for him. But Tengku Rafique is so not like his father. Tengku Rafique loves Madame Marianne dearly. Madame Marianne has raised Tengku Rafique well, after all.
While living at Villa Casper, Tengku Rafique was close to his young aunt, Helena. Like Mathilda, Helena is also Madame Marianne's adopted daughter. As they grew older, Tengku Rafique started to develop romantic feelings for Helena. But Helena broke Tengku Rafique's heart by marrying his father, Tengku Adrian. Oh! How ironic!

As a writer and an avid romance reader, I believe Tengku Rafique is one of the best male leads to study. Even though Tengku Rafique has a dark past, he still remains sovereign. None of his past traumas harden him. That proves that Madame Marianne gives him enough love. Alhamdulillah.
I like Tengku Rafique's character. I had a huge crush on this character when I first read this novel in 2013. I wished he truly existed. Hehehe >_< And I fell in love with Tengku Rafique again after reading Sayangku Casper for the second time in early September this year. Whoa!!! It's not easy to find a male lead like Tengku Rafique in a Bahasa Malaysia romance novel these days. Most Malaysian romance authors love writing morally grey male leads for their stories. Tengku Rafique is a green-flag male lead. He is also a safe harbour for Tia Adila. Tengku Rafique encourages and helps Tia Adila to go for her dreams of becoming a fashion designer. Whoa!!! I super like that! Tengku Rafique is really a dream hero. To my female readers and also myself, if you meet someone like Tengku Rafique, never let him go. This kinda man is once in a lifetime.
Okay, so this is my analysis of Tengku Rafique from Mazni Aznita's hit novel, Sayangku Casper. He is definitely a book heartthrob to swoon every bookworm's heart. Hehehe ^_^ Thank you for reading my analysis of Tengku Rafique. Sayangku Casper is a contemporary romance novel I highly recommend my fellow romance readers check out, especially those who love fashion. Yup, fashion is the main premise of this story. Reading Sayangku Casper gives me knowledge of fashion marketing and the industry. This novel is definitely a must-read for all fashion lovers.
