NOVEL REVIEW: DEVIL'S DAUGHTER BY LISA KLEYPAS

Eiyo Fadneiras,

Welcome back to Fadima Mooneira. For March's first post, I would like to share a review of Lisa Kleypas' Devil's Daughter. Now let's begin this post with Lisa Kleypas' bio...

Most of Kleypas' novels have been published in 14 different languages. Kleypas is an alumnus of Wellesley College. She graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science. ABOUT DEVIL'S DAUGHTER

Devil's Daughter (DD) is the fifth book in Lisa Kleypas' The Ravenels series. This novel belongs to the historical romance genre. The story takes place during the Victorian era. It follows a beautiful young widow named Phoebe, Lady Clare, and an ultimate rake named West Ravenel.

Phoebe and West meet each other during Gabriel and Pandora's wedding. Phoebe knows who West Ravenel is even though this is their first meeting. West is the mean rotten bully who made her late husband's life a misery back in boarding school. And Phoebe is not going to forgive him for that. Hahaha :P

My fan art of Phoebe, Lady Clare (Image: My Artstagram @fmooneira_art)

The moment West meets the elegant Phoebe, he is consumed by irresistible desire. The more he looks at her, the more he wants her. But West knows that Phoebe is a woman far out of his reach.

The more Phoebe spends time with West, the more she learns that West is not a bad person. He just had a bad childhood. It was his bad childhood that made him a bully. Phoebe and West fall in love. But West still feels guilty about what he did to the late Duke of Clare. Can their overwhelming passion be enough to overcome the obstacles of the past?

MY REVIEW OF DEVIL'S DAUGHTER

Just like all of Lisa Kleypas' novels, Devil's Daughter is definitely a very enjoyable read. The story is romantic, fiery, and spicy yet hilarious. This story is full of feel-good vibes. It makes you happy while reading it. Besides the spicy romance, Devil's Daughter is also full of good family and moral values in it. And just like all of Lisa Kleypas' novels, Devil's Daughter is also an eye-opener for me.

As a fan, I always like Lisa Kleypas' writing style. Her trendy and chic writing style always got me. Plus, reading her novels always boosts my reading enthusiasm.

I like Phoebe's character. She's very elegant and sassy. She's also mature and honest. She's the kind of woman who speaks her mind. FYI, Phoebe is the daughter of Sebastian, Lord St. Vincent, and Evangeline Jenner (the ML and FL of Devil In Winter).

My fan art of Phoebe and West (Image: My Artstagram @fmooneira_art)

Before Devil's Daughter, West Ravenel has already appeared in Cold-Hearted Rake, Marrying Winterborne, Devil In Spring, and Hello Stranger. He is the most lovable character in the Ravenels series. This character is very popular among LK fans. And I agree. West is very lovable and adorable. He is cheerful, funny, and witty. So it's nice to read his love story. And it's also nice to learn about his backstory. Hehehe ^_^

Overall, I rate this novel 10/10. I freakin love Devil's Daughter. Insya-Allah will re-read the book in the future. I also highly recommend my bookworm buddies to check out this book, especially those who are into the historical romance genre. I also highly recommend my bookworm buddies to check out all seven books in the Ravenels series. Trust me, you guys are going to love this series a lot. Hehehe ^_^ However, I do need to be honest that this book has some spicy romance scenes in it. So it is not suitable for those who are under 18.

Okay, so this is my review of Devil's Daughter by Lisa Kleypas. Thank you for reading this review. Insya-Allah, I'll see you guys again in my next post. And before I end this post, let me inform you guys that Ramadan will begin next week (12th of March). So during Ramadan, I'm going to limit my blogging time. I will only post one blog post a week. I need to focus on my prayers. Salam Ramadan to my Muslim friends. Wish you guys a good month.

XoXo,
