The author portrayed Kai as proper, reserved, and controlled. Kai is an introverted person who is passionate about everything he does. He is also an ambitious person. Those who don't know him that well find him aloof and unapproachable. But deep down, Kai is a very down-to-earth person. Only the right people can get along with him.
HIS PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES
Kai has a very sophisticated Asian hunk handsomeness. He has thick black hair, dark brown eyes, and chiseled cheekbones. Kai has an almost ethereal appearance. He wears glasses. Isabella mentions that his glasses are the only thing that makes him look a little bit human. And since Kai's handsomeness is ethereal, I fan-casted South Korean actor, model & singer, Rowoon as him ^_^

Kai Young was born in Hong Kong but raised in the elite society of London. From childhood, Kai is groomed to be flawless. This intense pressure makes him a reserved and highly controlled person. And as the eldest child of Edwin and Leonora Young, Kai grew up carrying the heavy mantle of being the presumptive heir to the Young Corporation.
To cope with the relentless corporate stress, Kai developed unique outlets. He loves boxing to release tension and translating classic literature into Latin just for fun. Kai speaks with a distinct British accent and embodies the polished manners of a traditional English gentleman.
MY OVERALL REVIEW OF THE CHARACTER
Kai Young is another interesting character to study. He is a character that I can strongly relate to real people. He is a person who is struggling between being raw and maintaining a flawless persona. To everyone, Kai is flawless. Only Isabella sees him as the vulnerable man that he truly is.
The way Ana Huang writes makes me feel Kai Young deeply. Yes, it's extremely hard to maintain societal expectations, especially if it's not you. Your higher self always wants you to be you. But fate is kind to Kai. Meeting Isabella is a miracle for Kai. From her, Kai sees himself. And he helps Isabella to see herself as an incredible woman and helps her achieve her dream of becoming a novelist. And that makes Kai a swoon-worthy book heartthrob ^_^
As a reader, I believe Ana Huang is one of the authors who writes good character development. Most of her characters are interesting to study. Most of her characters may be elites and glamourous people. But behind their flawless exterior, they all have flaws. They are all humans.
